The Editor will be responsible for contributing to Grand Central publishing’s Balance imprint, which is dedicated to publishing the best practical nonfiction across the health and wellness spectrum, including trade psychology, self-help, diet, how-to, inspiration, and career wellness. The Editor will be responsible for acquiring and editing approximately 10-12 new titles per year. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with top experts in a range of nonfiction fields to develop ideas for a general readership, and a demonstrated interest in practical nonfiction categories.

This role is based in our New York office. Employees are expected to work on-site three days per week in accordance with our hybrid work model. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office.
The compensation for this position is $65,000–$70,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and—talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
